Proven Percussion
a Percussion Curriculum, Designed For Educators
Why This Curriculum?
Proven Percussion is a modern video-based curriculum, forged from 25+ years of experience in public school instrumental music programs (grades 4-12), private studio teaching, professional percussion performance and composing for a variety of ability levels.
This curriculum is written for you, the teacher. Percussion requires a different approach than your typical wind and string method books. This requires a rote approach up front, that backs its way into literacy. It requires clever metaphors, body language, consistent use of “drum speak”, and a confident teacher who can deliver it.
You will be empowered to give your percussion students the quality education they need, in a way they need it, within the limited constraints of time that come with public school and private lessons.
75+ video lessons
All lessons are equipped with PDFs for teachers and students
Every video is 30 seconds to 3 minutes long. Watch a few videos, prepare your lesson, and stay one lesson ahead.
New lessons and materials are constantly added, making this a never-ending resource.
Direct access to course author for subscribers: submit questions, receive video responses.
This curriculum is called Proven Percussion, because it is just that: a proven method that has raised several generations of highly talented musicians, who received a percussion-centric education, over the course of 25 years.
I can guarantee that this curriculum will make a significant difference for your students, and you, the educator. Join me on this commitment to percussion education and let’s grow together!
